Privacy Policy

Oreon Watch is run by Oreon HQ. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Your account details: username, email, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
• What you post: videos, comments, playlists, Trails, and anything you put in your channel.
• What you watch: watch history, likes, and follows. We use this for your feed and recommendations. You can pause or clear your history in settings.
• Basic technical info: IP address, browser, and device type, kept in logs for security and abuse prevention.

No ads, no selling data

We don't show ads and we don't sell or rent your data to anyone.

Who else is involved

• Cloudflare hosts the site, stores videos, and runs bot checks (Turnstile).
• Stripe handles payments for Supporter, tips, and memberships. We never see your full card number.
• Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Our email provider, to send account and notification emails.

Peer-to-peer playback

To save bandwidth, the player can share video pieces directly between viewers watching the same video. When this is on, other viewers can see your IP address. You can turn it off in settings.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in and remember your settings. No tracking or advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, download your data, and delete your account from settings. Deleting your account removes your channel, videos, comments, and playlists. Backups are cleared out within about 35 days.
